Where Heritage Meets Innovation in the Heart of Shanghai

Nestled on the quiet yet vibrant stretch of Wuding Road in Jing’an District, THE TREASURY·NOA Hotel Shanghai – Jing’an Temple is more than a place to rest—it’s the embodiment of a vision: to create a modern urban sanctuary that honors Shanghai’s layered past while embracing the future with open arms. Opened in 2025, our hotel is the result of a thoughtful dialogue between architecture, hospitality, and the rhythm of city life—a space designed not just for travelers, but for those who seek meaning in their journey.

The story of THE TREASURY·NOA begins with a simple yet powerful idea: in a city as fast-moving as Shanghai, true luxury lies in stillness. Jing’an District—once home to colonial-era mansions, literary salons, and spiritual centers like the iconic Jing’an Temple—has long been a crossroads of culture, commerce, and contemplation. We chose this neighborhood not by accident, but by intention. At 969 Wuding Road, just 480 meters from Exit 3 of Changping Road Subway Station, we stand at the intersection of heritage and hustle, where century-old ginkgo trees line streets bustling with tech startups, art galleries, and hidden noodle shops.

Our name reflects this duality. “Treasury” speaks to the richness of Shanghai’s history—the city as a vault of stories, flavors, and dreams. “NOA”, inspired by the Hebrew word for “movement” or “grace,” symbolizes fluidity, innovation, and the quiet confidence of contemporary design. Together, they form a promise: to offer guests a curated experience that is both grounded and forward-looking.

From the outset, every detail of THE TREASURY·NOA was shaped by human-centered design. We rejected the notion that new must mean impersonal. Instead, our interiors blend warm wood tones, soft ambient lighting, natural textiles, and minimalist lines to create rooms that feel like a calm exhale after a day in the city’s whirlwind. Whether you’re in a cozy 18m² Comfort Queen or a spacious 30m² Institute King, you’ll find large windows that frame the Shanghai skyline, refrigerators for your midnight cravings, and workspaces that respect your need for focus—because we believe comfort should serve both rest and purpose.

But our story isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about people. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted not by scripts, but by genuine care. Our 24/7 front desk team, including beloved staff like Xiaozhou (praised by guests for extending late check-outs with a smile), embodies our philosophy: hospitality as an act of kindness. Even our service robots, gliding silently through the halls, are part of this vision—technology used not to replace humanity, but to enhance it, giving our team more time to connect with you.

We also honor the future of travel through sustainability and inclusivity. Free on-site parking (with reservation), child-friendly amenities like toys and slippers, coworking spaces, and a multi-function meeting room reflect our commitment to serving diverse travelers—families, digital nomads, business executives, and curious explorers alike. And while we don’t have a pool or gym, we invest instead in what matters most: cleanliness (rated 9.5/10), location (9.4/10), and service that feels like home.

Since opening, THE TREASURY·NOA has welcomed over 2,140 guests, with 65 consecutive positive reviews—a quiet testament to the trust travelers place in us. Many arrive for the convenience of being steps from the metro and minutes from Nanjing Road or Jing’an Temple. But they stay longer, return again, and write heartfelt notes because they’ve found something rare: a hotel that doesn’t just accommodate them, but understands them.

This is our story—not of grandeur, but of grace. Not of noise, but of nuance.
At THE TREASURY·NOA Hotel Shanghai – Jing’an Temple, we don’t just host your stay.
We welcome you into a living chapter of Shanghai’s ever-evolving narrative.
